So long summer!

Wow! Everyone is back to school! My sister, cousin, and brother-in-law's girlfriend all started college for the first time this last week! Everyone is still alive! LOL Maybe a little overwelmed, but still alive!
I am so excited! My friend, Trisha, and I are both going to have layouts published in the Scrapbook Trends Wedding Idea Book! Trisha is on the design team with me at Just 4 Keeps! I am SO excited about that!!!
I took this photo today with Brodey! I rarely get photos of us together that are not taken by myself, so I really love this one!!! (Even though it's not perfectly in focus hehehe)
Brodey and I had a great week! We went to Texas and stayed with my cousin for a few days! It was so nice to get to see them!! Brodey had such a good time playing with Will and McKennah! He loves to play with the big kids! ;)
Tomorrow I am scrapping no matter what!!! LOL Last weekend I finished one page so I am going to make up for lost time tomorrow! I am locking myself in my office and not coming out until my mother-in-law leaves tomorrow night! Hehe!
Well I'm off to bed now! I have to rest for my scrappy day tomorrow!

Oh Baby!

Yeah! So excited! I just had three layouts requested for the Memory Makers Oh Baby Idea Book! I LOVE the layouts they requested so I'm extra excited!!! What a great start to the day!
Wednesday I got to take photos of my friend's babies! It was a blast and they turned out fantastic! Every time I take photos I think back to the days when I had the studio and I miss it! But I'll do that again someday! Until then I'll take photos here and there!
We had a great day yesterday! My cousin Kerry and her kiddos are up from Texas! We met them and my Aunt Karen in Shawnee yesterday and went to the mall! SO FUN!!! The kids have grown so much and Brodey LOVED playing with them!
I took the photos the other day when Brodey and I went outside to water the plants! He looks so darn cute in that hat! Too bad that lawn mower doesn't work! ;)
MIL comes tonight!!! WOOHOO!!!! That means I can get to scrappin'! I have class layouts to do and DT work to do! So MAYBE I can squeeze in a fun layout! LOL
Well I'm off to feed Brodey some breakfast!

Where does it go?

Where does the time go? For the last couple of weeks I keep looking at Brodey and seeing what a little boy he is becomming. It's so sad to me. I'm excited for the future and seeing him growing up, but I miss my baby.
He grows up in little ways every day. Water used to be "wawee" but now is "wawder." Love you used to be "wudgee" but now is "lodge you." Little changes like that keep reminding me that he is, in fact, growing up. Because of this, I'm so glad I scrapbook! Instead of relying on my memory, I can go back in time for a few minutes while I read over my layouts. I am so lucky that I am a scrapper!

WOW!

WOW! I haven't posted in forever! I've pretty much stayed busy! Brodey is a HANDFUL these days! He is a regular toddler! He pee-pees in his potty, talks nonstop, is obsessed with the Backyardigans, and loves to get in trouble! He is the perfect toddler and keeps me perfectly busy!
The only time I get to scrap is on the weekends when MIL takes pity on me and comes to spend the night! I've been scrapping like a mad woman! I can't post the layouts, though, as they are for publication calls.
I will be in the December issue of Creating Keepsakes! Look for my layout there!!! SO excited!
We've been trying to take advantage of what summer is left! June was a waste because of all the rain. Brodey loves to go to the lake! It's so much fun to take him and watch him play while I remember what fun I had when I was little there!
As soon as the calls are over I'll start posting layouts again! I really love the ones I have done and not been able to post!!! The weekend doesn't come fast enough for me! I want to scrap every day! Hehehe!

We just get better with age...

Too much stinkin' fun! My 10 year reunion was too damn fun! All the planning was totally worth it! We will probably do it again next year! LOL The link to the pics is HERE! They are wild! I posted a couple in this post. I haven't even started to edit the 4th of July photos. We all got sick the day after and I was supposed to go visit my cousin, Kerry, for her birthday this week but my aunt has the shingles. So we've been at home recovering. As soon as I get them edited I'll post them!
I haven't posted any layouts in forever it seems. I've done some, but I haven't posted any online. I've been submitting them for publication and I'm waiting until the calls go out to post.
I mailed off my Congrats cards for the Scrapbook Trends new book. I can't wait for it to come out! I think it will be a good one!
Brodey is a year and a half today. Where in the world does the time go? I stamped his feet last year on a piece of cardstock and I'm going to have to do it again tonight.

Too busy!

Gosh I've been too busy this last week! This week is going to be even worse!
First, I got REALLY REALLY good news and I'll be in a certain BIG scrapbook magazine in November! I can't way anything else until then, but it's really cool!!! I've been trying to get that prepared and mailed! Lots of effort in mailing this one!
My 10 year reunion is this weekend. I've been working on it and planning it for a very long time. I'm ready for it to be here!!!
I have been working on design team layouts because I won't be here next weekend! AH!!! It doesn't sound like much, but when you factor in 17 month old it gets tricky!
My sisiter is coming up today and spending the night. My parents are coming tomorrow to get the large furniture out of her bedroom. So sad. It's been okay since her stuff has been here to remind me of her, but now it's all going away! BOOHOO!!!!
Well I'm going to go try to get into the shower and I'm off to the post office!!

Happy Anniversary to ME!!!

Yesterday was mine and Eric's 5 year anniversary!! We started dating in 1994, but we didn't get married until 2002.
I got Eric an IPod Shuffle. It's the smaller one since the only time he'll use it is when he is working out or back and forth to the offices.
But GOSH did I get a surprise!!! I took Eric to took work yesterday morning (we only have my X5 because Eric's H2 doesn't come in until next month) and I came back home and went to feed Brodey and this was on his high chair...

I was so surprised! I had no idea he was even getting me something!!!! SO you can imagine just how much more suprised I was when I opened it and it was this!!!

Not the engagement ring! The BAND!! I have been wanting one with diamonds on it forever! I had lost my other band and I didn't think I would get a new one for a LONG time! It was such a complete and total surprise!! It is the perfect size, too! Any smaller and it wouldn't look right, any larger and they both wouldn't fit on my short finger! LOL I am still excited!
Anyway, I just had to share!!!!! What a good day! MIL is coming today and we are going to go out to eat and to a movie tonight! So excited!!!!

Just another hot summer day...

Just another hot summer day here in Oklahoma! :) Do you ever look back at the day around 5pm and think "where in the WORLD did the day go?" Yep I did that today. I mostly did reunion planning. Can't wait for it to come! I just want to enjoy it and not have to think about it anymore!

Gosh the mosquitos are bad this year! Every time we step outside they swarm us. So annoying!!! We were troopers, though, and sprayed on some Skin So Soft and we were ready to go! We love playing with the neighbors! We have THE best neighbors EVER!!! I would like a bigger house, but I don't want to move because I love them so much! They are so helpful, easygoing, fun! I took some photos of Brodey and two of the neighbors today! I posted them above! So cute!!!

I'm going to go! I was good today so I'm going to eat some strawberry shortcake! YUM!!!!

It's HOT!!!

Wow it's already so hot here in Oklahoma! Well to me, anyway! ;) It might not be as hot as other places temperature wise, but gosh it's so humid!

Brodey and I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and got the cutest little kiddie pool for only $20! The photos above are from yesteday! He had a blast!!! Cheap fun!

Brodey is growing up so fast! He is such a little climber too! So annoying at time! LOL I will turn around and he's on top of the coffee table dancing around! OR he's on top of the couch in the office trying to roll off the side! No fear!

Eric found a computer he wants. This makes me happy, but at the same time frustrated. I get frustrated when I think of all the programs we have on this computer that I would have to move. PLUS all my fonts! AH!

My reunion is getting close! Been ordering all the things we are going to eat! I can't wait to see everyone! I think it's going to be so much fun!

Well I gotta go! The laundry is calling my name! Fun times! hahahaha!!!!

WICKED!

SO Wicked was awesome!!! I went with my cousins last night and it was nothing like the book, but it was great!! It was more comedic which was really nice! The actors were wonderful and the woman that played Elfeba(the Wicked Witch) had the most amazing voice! Gave me chill bumps every time! The photo above is from last night! So much fun!!! I always have fun with Danielle and Ryleigh! They are my girls! ;)

Well I have some really great layouts to post, but not until the kit goes live on One Page at a Time!

This is a short post! I'm headed to get Brodey a little pool and hopefully a new computer!! (fingers crossed)

I did a little photo shoot for Just 4 Keeps, my local scrap store, yesterday! The first one I did was awesome and they wanted me to do another one!
All I brought was a black velvet backdrop and my camera. I wanted to show people how they can take beautiful photos at home with minimal equipment! I showed them how to use their camera and natural lighting to take beautiful photos! Thanks to everyone for coming!!

I had to share this card. I LOVE it! I made it the other day with my Serendipity Kit! I put the green ink on the stamp with my fingers and it gave it a watercolor look! I then punched a square out of the transparency sheet and stuck the button on top! I LOVE IT!

I got so much done this weekend!!! All thanks to my MIL! I finished up on my Guest Design Team layouts for Serendipity Scrapbooks and my DT layouts for Addicted Scrappers! I posted one of the layouts above! It's a photo of Brodey and my SIL, Madyson. It's from the Serendipity Scrapbooks Kit!

No plans for tomorrow. Eric will probably work. They have patients scheduled and he says if it rains he might as well go in! They will just take another day off instead so it's fine with me!

YEAH! You guys are finished with high school!!!
Ry's graduation was great! Brodey was pretty restless but okay overall. We ended up not going to Jeni's in Norman. There is NO WAY Brodey would have been able to do it! All of his "good" ran out at Ry's. We ended up going to eat with Ry and everyone in her family! It was fun!! I posted a few pics above!

In LOVE with Love, Elsie!

WOW! I am so super excited! All the new Love, Elsie products arrived at my LSS last night!!! I was so excited to get it that I went in this morning pre-shower pre-makeup! Haha! I have it all in my hands and I AM IN LOVE!!! It is so fun and colorful! Just looking at it puts me in a good mood! I'm using the Roxie line for my DT stuff and I can't wait to play! MIL will be there tomorrow so I get scrappy time! YEAH!!!!

I have so much to do today and all I want to do it scrap! I have graduations to go to for my two cousins! Graduation season is almost over! Summer here we come! Hehe!

Just a quick one!

Had to pop in and put these layouts up. They are from the June Kit at One Page at a Time! Totally different colors than I'm used to and I love them!
I have to share the journaling on the Everyday Moments one.
Journaling:: We don’t capture everyday moments as often as we should. I know I don’t. I think we tend to get caught up in the need to take the “perfect” photo. Years from now are our descendents going to look back and learn anything from those perfectly posed shots? Will they learn what our life was like now? Will they get a glimpse into our everyday? I hope that my children and grandchildren will. I am going to make an effort to try not to take only perfectly posed shots. I will try to take photos that are of the everyday moments. Moments that will be forgotten too quickly. Moments like Brodey pulling every single scrapbook magazine off of my shelves and enjoying it. Moments like Brodey eating Cheerios off of the coffee table while he watches the Backyardigans. Moments like us falling to sleep together in the recliner. Those are the moments I want to remember and the memories I hope I won’t forget. How lucky I am to be able to spend and preserve those everyday moments with you. December 2006

Almost...

Graduation season is almost over! I am so glad! LOL
My sister graduated Saturday, but she goes to school another two weeks to make up for snow days. My cousins graduate Thursday night and my brother-in-law's awesome girlfriend graduates Tuesday night. AH!

Everything is peachy here! I'm busy and that's no fun! That means no scrappin' time for little ole me! Don't you feel sorry! Bwahahaha!!!

OH AWESOME news! I had THREE layouts picked up for the October 2007 issue of Memory Makers magazine! YEAH!!! This the first time I've been in Memory Makers and I'm so excited! I shipped the layouts off today! That always makes me nervous, but the peeps at the UPS store always do a good job. Knock on wood....

My high school reunion is a month away! Yikes! Make a girl feel old why don't ya?!? We are going to have a blast!! I'm planning a picnic, viewing of our slideshow, and a good old fashioned party that night! I can't wait!!!!!

All's well that ends well

Well Brodey is catheter free!!! YEAH! The doc said he looks awesome! I'm so glad Eric went with me because there is no way I could have held him down by myself! He is getting too strong! It seems to feel much better to him now that it's out. YEAH! I'm so very glad it's over and everything turned out great!!

Gosh we have had so much rain the last few days! It has made everything so beautiful and green, though!!

Brodey and I went to the zoo today! So glad he's better and we can start going again! LOVE it there!! All the school kids were there today! Brodey had fun saying hi to everyone! Hehe! Also all the Canadian geese's babies were all over the place! SO cute! I guess that's why they have been such pain in the butts every time we have been! ;)

Love this boy

I love this boy. This boy right here ^. He is such a little trooper. The dressing from his surgery came off today. I felt so bad. The catheter is still in, but the dressing slipped off after his bath today. He just cries when I put his diaper on. I can't imagine how it must feel. I have to admit we giggle just a little bit when he walks around. He walks like he's been riding a horse for the last week. Hehe.

He goes in tomorrow morning to get the catheter removed. I have a feeling that's going to help with the pain. It'll actually be able to lay against his body in his diaper. Eric is going with me. Thank goodness. Not sure I could handle that by myself.

The poor boy has been sleeping practically all day long. He needs it. I'll be happier when everything gets back to normal! I can't get anything done! He won't sleep unless he's on the Boppy or in bed with me. So I'll be happy when I'm free! ;)

Well he's ready for bed so I guess I'll go for now!

No fun!

Surgery is no fun! Escpecially when it's your child! That was the scariest moment of my life. By far.
Okay first I need to explain what he was having surgery for. WARNING this will be graphic, so just skip down if you have a weak stomach! ;)
Tuesday Brodey had hypospadia surgery. Brodey's urethra(peepee tube) didn't close completely when I was pregnant with him. So instead of peepeeing out of the hole in the tip of his penis, he would peepee out of a small hole at the base of his penis. The surgery was to build him a new urethra out of his foreskin tissue.

The surgery was supposed to last 4-5 hours and there was a slight chance he would have to come back for a second surgery if they could not fix it properly. We went in at 8:30 and he got to go in earlier because the surgery before him was canceled.

LUCKILY my best friend, Natalie, is an RN there. She was there with us most of the time which made it so much better! Eric got to go back with him when they gave him the gas to put him to sleep. I was crying at this point and there was no way I could do it! Eric came back and he said it was so hard to hold him while he went to sleep. Eric was a nervous wreck so he went to work while I stayed at the hospital with my MIL. My mom and grandmother went to my house to clean while I stayed there. (Yes I do have awesome relatives! Haha!) Then nurse called every hour to tell me how it was going, but I was still a nervous wreck. It is the worst feeling to have no control.

The surgery lasted about 4 hours and we went to recovery. It was so sad walking up and seeing him asleep all hooked up to everything. I got to hold him until he woke up. When he did his voice was all cracky. They had to put a breathing tube in his throat during the surgery so it was hard for him to talk for a little bit.

We finally got to take him home about 3 hours later. He got home and slept it off and was up and running around by 7 that night! Crazy. We actually had to restrain him from doing a lot. He is doing fine since then! The only time it seems to bother him is when we have to bathe him. Other than that you wouldn't even know! He sleeps A LOT during the day, though, which restricts what I can do. He wants to nurse a lot so I let him, of course!

I'm so glad it's over with! I have to take him on Wednesday to get the catheter removed. I'm nervous about that.

While I was there I saw other babies with much more severe problems than Brodey's. It makes me feel so lucky to have a normal and healthy baby boy. So lucky.

It happens to us...

If something doesn't normally happen, it will happen to us! I always know it when I hear the words "well the odds are it won't happen." Well I guess we are the evens because Brodey got chicken pox from his vaccination! In the doc's office he says "well the odds are it won't happen. I've only seen five cases since I've been here." I said to him "well I can assure you if the odds are it won't happen, it will. So I'll just expect that Brodey will have the chicken pox!" I actually reminded him of that yesterday on the phone! LOL It's just a slight case. He only has about 15 on him, but I can't take him around any other kids. So sad because yesterday was his very first birthday party! I was so excited to take him and it just couldn't happen! Ah well! It won't be the last birthday party I'm sure!

Oh! I am so excited! One Page at a Time has asked me to extend my deadline with them and be on their design team another term! SO very excited about that! The are THE best company to work for! As a matter of fact! They are looking for 4 new design team members!!! Go HERE if you are interested in designing for an awesome company with even more awesome kits!!!

The May kit is up a Addicted Scrappers!!! Let me tell you!!!! IT ROCKS! I have never used the Hambly Screenprints/rub-ons before and I'm so excited to use them!!

I took my sister's senior pics this week. I posted one above. So sad she is graduating! I don't know what I'm going to do with myself when she isn't here! Boohoo!!!

My MIL came this weekend and (as usual) I tried to stay home and scrap and it didn't work! I have to be out of this house or here by myself to get anything done!

Well I'm going to go feed my son breakfast! I'm going to attempt to get a page done today! Haha! We'll see!

So many pages...so little time!

Well I actually got to scrap this weekend. Not a whole lot, but a little! It was SO nice to get away and just laugh and have fun! (Even though "away" is about two and a half miles down the road!" Hehehe! I went to the crop for about 4 hours on Saturday and about 3 hours yesterday. I got 1 and a half pages done. Literally! Isn't that pathetic! I posted the one I did finish above! I have to admit, though, yesterday I was helping several other croppers with what they were doing. So, I wasn't just chatting the entire time! ;)
I have so many layouts I need to do! LOL I also have so many layouts to scan in! The only reason I got the one above scanned in is because I had to use it for my Scraplift Challenge at Just 4 Keeps!
Oh good news! I had several more layouts accepted into the Basic Grey and 3 Bugs in a Rug online galleries! That's exciting!
Oh!! I also got my May kit in for One Page at a Time!! IT IS AWESOME! It includes a ton of the new Sassafrass Lass paper and they even had them make acrylic stamps to match the paper! How cool is that!?!?!
My May kit for Addicted Scrappers should arrive soon! From the sneak peeks we have gotten it looks awesome! Can't wait for that!!! It has been so fun working for them!
Well Brodey is ready for his morning nap! I might actually take one with him today! Hehe!

I've been gone...

I've been gone! It's so good to be back! I might actually get some scrapping done this weekend! Yippee!

Brodey has never been REALLY sick before in his short little life. Never. He has never thrown up or had diarreha once. Let me tell you he made up for it this last week! LOL Last Thursday he had his 15 month doctor's visit. Everything went fine. He was pretty ticked off that he had to get two shots and they pricked his finger, but other than that he was acting normal! I had driven a Mercedes to test drive to the doctor's office and he fell asleep on the way back to the dealership to return the vehicle. Not five minutes after we got back into my vehicle, Brodey pukes ALL OVER the place. I mean ALL OVER. I had to pull off the interstate and the poor thing was so scrared! This was the very first time he had thrown up and it scrared him! I felt SO BAD! I get him cleaned up and changed into some other clothes and he does it AGAIN on the way home! I am freaking out calling the doctor's office! The only thing that's going through my head is he is having some freak reaction to his shots! (Probably not even possible but if you are a mom you get it!) I was FREAKING! The nurse reassures me that it is probably just a virus that's been going around. I'm like fine.
We finally get home and I get him changed and he starts throwing up all over again. Oh and all over me. I'm the mom that doesn't really care. I'm like okay I'm already covered in puke. Go ahead and finish on me. So this goes on several more times and I called the nurse again. She tells me what to do to help him not get dehydrated and gives me the on call doctor's numbers and all that.
LUCKILY he only threw up a few more times and he had potty issues the rest of the weekend. I felt SO bad for him! He was sick until Monday when he threw up again. I called and told them I wanted to bring him in and they checked his blood and confirmed that he had a virus like the nurse said. Thank goodness! He is SO much better now! He only lost 2oz and he looks normal now! He looked so sad all weekend! It's nice to have my ball of energy back! LOL

I haven't had time to scrap at all. (Oh poor me right? Haha!) MIL is coming tomorrow! THANK GOODNESS! I need a break! I plan on scrapping all weekend if I can! Eric has been obsessed with finding the perfect new car lately and it's been time-consuming! I think we have it narrowed down to two now! So hopefully we will have a new car within the next couple of days! Phew!

Oh yeah! I got my scanner fixed! FINALLY! The sad thing is I haven't had the time to scan anything in! LOL I think that will all change now that Brodey is better!

Okay. I gotta go! Brodey isn't wanting to sleep in his bed so that means the end of my computer time! Boohoo! Hopefully my next post will contain some scrappy pages! The photo in this post is of my sister before prom! So purdy!

Oh my.

Oh my have we been busy. Easter was Sunday and Brodey was the best little egg hunter ever! We have been practicing for a while around the house! We couldn't let the big boys show us up!! ;) Everyone made hats! They were awesome! I WON!!! I was so excited! I posted a pic of my hat in the last post! I won an Old Navy gift card! Fun stuff!

My birthday was Monday the 9th! I am 28 years old. Wow that is almost 30! It was a good birthday! We went out to eat and I test drove some cars! Now sure what I'm going to get yet! I'll let ya know when I do! Hehe!

My 10 year high school reunion is this summer! I was the senior class president so I get to put it together! It's so fun to reconnect with everyone! But gosh it's time consuming! Totally worth it, though!

One of my oldest and dearest friends is in town! I haven't seen her in years! She lives in San Diego and I've known her since I was three! LOVE her!

Car drama today. My sister's car went dead and it wouldn't start yesterday. She knows how to jump it, but it was POURING down rain! LOL I was like NO WAY am I doing that! Eric went and jumped it last night and she kept it running for an hour and it still wouldn't start. GEEZ! So she had to take the Hummer to school today and my Dad had to come up and figure out what was wrong. Luckily he did and I'm glad that's over! Taxi cab I am not! Haha!

On top of all that...my scanner is screwed up. Brodey likes to push buttons and I think he finally pushed the wrong one or ones. I have to call Epson tomorrow and hopefully they can help me out! I have layouts I need to share with the world! LOL Yes, I could take a pic, but I hate to do that because scans are so much nicer! :)

It's been almost four month's since our house flooded and JUST NOW are the gears turning on the woodwork being fixed. Drives me nuts. I hate dealing with that stuff. Sorry to sound gripey, but I have to let it out somewhere! ;)

Okay this post is really just fraction of what's been going on lately! Probably boring, but that's life. Hopefully I'll get to scrap some time soon!! Gosh you know I have enough photos to keep me busy!!

Okay I'm going now. Tomorrow Brodey has a doctor's appointment and I have to take my cousin's senior pictures order to her in Norman! Another busy day!!

What the snow?

Yes. It is snowing. Oklahoma is wonderful like that. LOL Last week was so hot it was shorts and flip flops. This week it's sweatshirts and gloves. CRAZY! But I gotta admit I love it! Mother Nature loves to mix things up a bit for us Okies!

I guess that means Brodey will be dressed for winter. I have what he is going to wear planned and it does look a little springy...even thought it's thick pants and a sweater! Hehe! I have been tanning and I have to admit I'm disappointed that I will not be able to show it off and wear a skirt like I had planned! Ah well!

I made out hats yesterday! At Easter this year we are having a hat contest. I made myself one and Brodey one! That's why there is a photo of my hat in my blog entry! LOL It was a ton of fun!

MIL is coming tonight! Maybe I'll get some scrapping done and get to alter a huge "B" I bought today at Just 4 Keeps! I also teach a Techinque Tuesday class tomorrow! It will be fun! As soon as I'm done with that, though, it's off to Holdenville!

Brodey is asleep and I'm going to attempt to put him in bed so I can get a start on my scrappin! I may not be able to update once I get to Holdenville so if I dont' post have a wonderful Easter!

I'm back!

Hey all! Sorry I took such a long vacation from my little blog! I've been busy!

Ally's had a ton of senior crap going on. It's so sad. She keeps saying that she is going to be so sad when she moves out and will miss Brodey so much! I'm like I will miss YOU!!! It will stink to not have anyone to go tan with. Go to the mall with. Go to Target with. So sad!!!

Besides my sister graduating I have two first cousins who are also graduating. One lives in Noble, OK and the other goes to Heritage Hall in Oklahoma City. Busy busy.

Brodey took his Easter pics today! So cute! He took some with the live bunnies. He have it a little pet, a little squeeze, and a little kiss and he was over it. He didnt' want to have anything to do with it after that! LOL I thought he would be more into it but nope!

We are headed to Holdenville this weekend for Easter! I have been practicing with Brodey hunting Easter eggs! He is getting pretty good! He is the youngest by four years so I have to have him prepared! LOL I can't wait to see my family! We always have an awesome time! I'm just sad when they go! Boohoo!

Well this was a short entry! Brodey's bedtime! Hopefully I will be able to update more tomorrow!!!

Good times. Bad times.

Well I feel bad saying it but I had a great time today under not so great circumstances. My grandpa(my dad's dad) had surgery today. Pretty major surgery. He had bone spurs that were putting pressure on his spinal cord on the front and his muscles had (literally) grown into his spine in the back. The surgeon said it was the worst spurs he had ever seen and he had never seen muscles do that before. He was in surgery from about 2pm to 8:30pm. That's a long dang time. We sat in the waiting room pretty much the entire time. I have to say it was great. Aside from worrying about him. Lots of family was there and they were entertained by Brodey. We laughed, joked, and talked about memories. It was so fun. He is fine tonight. He will have to do some physical therapy, but he will be fine. So glad.

I am loving the new Scenic Route papers! I had an idea in my head for a layout last night. Brodey wouldn't stay in his bed so I edited the photos with him on the Boppy. I printed them and put the layout together this morning. I love it. It may not be the best layout I've done, but I love the journaling! I posted it above!

Brodey is starting to say "Gigi". That's our black Cocker Spaniel's name. It's so cute! We go out to throw the ball to them and he will say GIGI!!! Oh he is so much fun! LOL

Not much else to report! We should sleep well tonight! ;) I might try to put Brodey in his bed and get some scrapping done but I won't get my hopes up! LOL

Oh WOW!

WOW!!! My friend that works at Just 4 Keeps sent me an IM this afternoon letting me know that the new Scenic Route goodies were there today! When I was about to leave the lawn srpay guy came. I was like okay here's the check GOTTA GO! LOL I bought every single thing that came in! I LOVE IT! The layout I posted above I did as soon as Eric got home from work! Haha! He (thankfully) took Brodey with him to look at gym equipment with Dr J and to get dinner. I am so happy with how this layout turned out! I can't wait to show it to Ally! She is in Holdenville right now on Spring Break.

Brodey slept from 11am to 2:45pm today. He has had the worst allergies. He and Eric played outside with the neighbors and when he came in his poor little eyes were all swollen and he had the little red bumps on his face. :(


I bought Brodey THE cutest Easter basket at Hobby Lobby! They were on sale and he picked out the one that is a frog! SO cute! He is really into little cars like Hot Wheels and his Little People animals. He cracks me up because he always wants to draw and when he does he gets really close to the page like I do when I scrap! Eric's like "you're a bad influence!" I just LOL!

Okay well that's all the news for today! Not much going on! Maybe that's a good thing...hahaha!
I'm going to try to put Brodey in his bed and get another layout done! HOPEFULLY!

My poor neglected blog....

Oh my poor neglected blog! I feel so bad! This is THE longest I have ever gone without posting!
I am almost 100% better! Yeah! I still have throat issues and a major runny nose, but I feel so much better! Brodey is still a little under the weather, but he is so much better too! The last two nights I was having flashbacks from the first few months of his life! He was waking up every single hour and just crying. I thought I was going to lose my mind. He wasn't crying like he was in pain, just crying like he was restless. I wanted to cry too! Luckily he ended up sleeping pretty much the whole day and I did too! Poor Eric, though. He had to go to work!

Oh my gosh! Last week my grandmother and aunt came to watch my cousin, Jeni, play basketball in the state playoffs. They stopped by to see us and I still had Michael's Wii. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen to watch them play! They are competitive anyway, and to watch them play each other in tennis and bowling was hilarious! I really wish I had videotaped it!!! I had to call Kerry and tell her! It was great!

I had to go to Just 4 Keeps yesterday to get the brand new Daisy D's stuff! SO CUTE!!! I used some of the new stuff in the layout I posted above. It's really simple...of course! The button on the flower made the scan weird! Sorry!

I got my April kit in the mail from One Page at a Time and all I can say is I am one of the luckiest girls in the world! It is SO awesome! BRAND NEW Fancy Pants, Around the Block stuff, and TWO sets of brand new KI acrylic stamps!!! I LOVE OPAAT!!!!!

Congrats to the April Guest Design Team member at Addicted Scrappers Kathy Bishop! Her layouts are awesome so I can't wait to see what she comes up with using the April Kit!!!

Date night with Eric last night! We went to the movies and saw I Think I Love My Wife. It as pretty funny!

MIL is here today! Yeah!! That means I finally get to scrap! YEAH!!!!

Well I'm going to get busy! I have a lot of layouts in this head of mine! Have an awesome weekend and don't forget to wear green today!!!

Sick Sick Sick

OMG I have been so dang sick today! My MIL is here and it sucks so bad I can't go do anything! (On the other hand it's great because it lets me rest!) I'm just letting you know!
I have some funny stuff to post and I'll do that tomorrow! Hopefully I'll feel better! The symptoms are flu-like, so my fingers are crossed I get over it tomorrow and it's not the flu!

Four days!?!

WOW! I haven't posted in four days! Bad April! Bad!
Wow I've been working like a maniac Monday and Tuesday to get my FINAL Just 4 Keeps Last Scrapper Standing project done! We had to do a mini album for our children giving them life lessons. Man that was difficult! If you go HERE you can see all the entries, including mine. Hint mine's the one with Brodey in it! LOL It was fun to do but very time consuming!

I've also been pricing Brodey's clothes for the consignment sale tomorrow! I usually make a good amount of money and I have a ton of clothes from last summer to sell! Some even still have the tags on them! (He was too small to wear them) That is so very time consuming! You have to tag each one with a safety pin! Urg! Ah well it's worth it!

I posted the other two layouts I did last weekend! I really hope I get to crop again Saturday!!! 99.99% sure I'll get to! Yippeee!

Okay. No more news than that! Pretty boring! LOL

Wii are SO sore!!!

Oh my goodness! I have had so much fun this weekend!
My MIL and my BIL came on Saturday to spend the night! That's just fun all by itself! LOL But then my other BIL that lives here in Edmond brought over his Nintendo Wii so we could play it on the new big tv! OH MY GOSH! It was so much FUN! You swing the controller and that is how you play! We played golf, bowling, baseball, and MY fave tennis! I can't tell you how much fun we had! We even boxed and I knocked Eric out twice! LOL It was SO hard! I was huffing and puffing after that! Man I am out of shape! My right arm is so sore today I can barely move it! My BIL and Eric were the same way when they woke up this morning! Crazy!

Then we went and rode go-karts! We go and do that sometimes and it's so fun! There is a place up here and used to be a K-Mart and they turned it into a NICE go-kart track! We always have fun doing that!

When we got back, my BIL and I stayed up until 3am playing! I would never get to do that unless my MIL was here to keep Brodey! We had a blast!
Then, to top the weekend off, we had a Design Team crop today at Just 4 Keeps! I LOVE the girls there and it was wonderful! I got FOUR layouts done! They are simple, but hey! That's just my style!
I posted two of them above! I really hope you like them! The one with Brodey sitting int he grass was a total mistake! I didn't realize those photos lined up until after I had them printed! I love how it looks!

Tomorrow I HAVE to price Brodey's clothes to sell at the consignment sale! Last time I made $350 and I just hope to come close to that this time! I have so much to do to get ready! Why do I always wait until last minute for that? I drive myself crazy!

My parents came tonight! Yeah! We went to eat at Bravo and it was so good! I will have an awesome couple of food nights! Hehe! My MIL is coming tomorrow to stay the night! Woopee! I get to go crop at Just 4 Keeps on Sunday and I CANNOT wait! It's a crop for the Design Team and they are the most awesome group of girls ever! LOVE THEM!!!!! It will be a blast!

OMG Brodey cracked me up yesterday! I am LOL just thinking about it! He found a sucker and took off out of the office. After a second I went looking for him and guess where he was. He was in his closet HIDING trying to suck on the sucker. WHAT!?! He's not even 14 months old! I thought I didn't have to worry about "Sneaky Brodey" until he was at least two! AH! So I said Brodey! He turned around and handed the sucker to me while he giggled his "I'm Caught" giggle. I unwrapped it and gave it to him. I just couldn't believe he did that! TOO FUNNY!

He's also in the picky eater stage. I swear the kid will have clogged arteries by the time he's three. He will only eat french fries, chicken nuggets, mashed potatos, hot dog weinies, ANY type of cheese, and oreos. How can anyone live on that??? My pediatrician was like "kids his age are very good at eating the caloric intake they require." So I called my cousin, Kerry, and asked her. She's not a pediatrician, but she does have kids. She said her's were the same way and that made me feel much better. Her kids are 10 and 5 and haven't had bypass surgery, so I think I'm in the clear!

We bought Brodey a sandbox and picnic table at Sam's tonight. SO CUTE!!! I can't wait to get it put together and let him play in it! I really think he's gonna love it! He adores being outside! I hope it warms up again!
